“Legitimate Political Discourse”??

The RNC recently issued a statement in their ‘censure’ of two GOP congress-folk who dared to do what they think is right: RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Cheney and Kinzinger “chose to join Nancy Pelosi in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse that had nothing to do with violence at the Capitol.”

It seems to me that everyone currently being ‘persecuted’ is for exactly that – violence at the Capitol. But fine…..Republicans have now [rhetorically] exonerated any time the Left engages in assault and vandalism in similar circumstances, as legitimate political discourse. The events of January 6th also expose the absurdity of their claims of “back the blue”

Cool.

  1. Both political parties are so very hypocritical and show no humanity unless you are on the same page with them. You cannot call out those in one party and not look at the useful fools within your own. You know what I am sick of it. I truly wish, and I use the word wish because I do not believe it is anything other than a wish – that both parties could have civil discourse and work for the American people instead of their own personal advancements. It goes both ways and so tired of both parties hypocricy.

  2. It’s one thing to hate Trump the way you do, but to act like those imprisoned in D.C. for having attended a rally and then trespassed (if indeed they did) in the capitol deserve the cruel and unusual punishment they are receiving deserve it?
Some “Constitutional Insurgent” you are. More like a useful tool.

    • Ah, but I don’t ‘hate’ Trump. He hasn’t shown himself worthy of that level of emotion from me. I note that you conveniently ignore the assaults against law enforcement that day. Classy.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes sums up the strategy of following a crass charlatan. Lenin had a term for that camp…..

    • Wow, that is harsh. I understand your point and I agree with you. The people that attended the rally and bullied their way into the Capitol putting the lives of the Capitol Police, members of the institution, and themselves in danger was bad. I do not think pillaging Nancy Pelosi’s office was the right way to solve any of our problems, only compound them. I do not believe they deserve the cruel treatment received, but sadly that is just how our nasty society in America has become. We need to change things peacefully.
