Simple question, especially for the Trump supporters who seem to think his Administration had some significant effect on the defeat of ISIS is Iraq:
What is the genesis for people thinking that we’ve been conducting ground combat operations in Iraq, to buttress the claim that the current POTUS ‘allowed’ them to obtain victory?
I know A LOT of Iraqi’s and Kurd’s who have some things to say about these nakedly partisan claims.

That’s not the genesis at all, regarding ISIS. We had years of successive buildup and training of the ISF and Kurds, and victory finally came to fruition. Trump claiming credit as he did, dishonors those who worked hard during that process.
Regarding the economy, I’m not one who credits any POTUS. It’s a variety of market forces at play. Was it trending up before Trump was elected? I believe so.

Fair enough. A sad commentary for our society though. I would argue [having been a part of it] that the slow but steady forward progress of 2016, was not failure at all.
